Past Projects
Lucent was a live music and editorial platform I started with friends. We saw smaller artists struggling to find places to play in London, while gig tickets were becoming mega expensive.
I applied for Arts Council Funding to create a platform that worked both ways: paying rising artists and DJs to perform, while keeping the shows accessible – tickets were always less than a tenner.
Live performance was accompanied by bespoke editorial and visual content, giving the artists a place to be discovered beyond the gig itself.
We ran for a couple of years, curating incredible lineups with artists who continue to push music forward – Pa Salieu, LOLA, Jeshi, WU-LU, Martha Skye Murphy, Sam Akpro and many, many more.
Before moving into B R A N D, I was a writer and editor, working in culture and music. I’ve written for mags including Dazed, The Face, and Crack; founded an independent Arts Council-funded live performance and editorial platform, and launched and hosted a radio show for Dazed.
